Welcome to the Dormick Park Podcast Show! Over the last several years this show has trained several new podcast hosts and production technicians who have recorded, edited and produced the show. This is a great way to get to know the Dormick Family a bit better and help build community! On Today’s episode we bring you a great conversation with one of Abbotsford School District’s trustees, Mr. Stan Petersen, joining us live in the classroom to tell us about the role of a school board trustee. Mr. Petersen is a former teacher and principal in the Abbotsford District. Mr. Petersen has served on the Abbotsford school board for over 10 years. He has also been a board member of the Abbotsford Youth Commission, Vice President of the 2016 BC Summer games, director of the Kiwanis club and has served as a coach and promoter of BC High School wrestling, basketball, special Olympics and has had regular trips to Haiti to provide school supplies and teacher training.
